If you are new to vermicomposting, we encourage you to take a few moments and read our Advice for Vermicomposting to help answer ensure you are ready prior to their arrival.  Prior to ordering your composting worms we recommend preparing bedding materials in advance of their arrival.  It is always best to prepare the habitat for your worms 5-7 days prior to introducing worms.  This will allow the microbial life within the bedding materials to develop and aid in a stress-free transition into their new environment.
Providing a healthy habitat for your worms with the proper amounts of air, water, environmental control, and food will reward you, your plants and soils with many benefits for years to come.
