Nitrogen Sources

NITROGEN (N) is an essential nutrient for plant growth, development and reproduction. Nitrogen is a raw material for proteins and chlorophyll and stimulates vegetative growth. Nitrogen is generally applied in higher concentrations throughout the early stages of growth.  Excessive amounts of nitrogen will promote vegetative growth at the expense of fruit or flower production.  Sources of Nitrogen include; Bat and Seabird Guano, Blood Meal, Fish Meal, Feather Meal, and Cottonseed Meal for acid loving plants.
