Nitrogen Sources

Nitrogen is an essential nutrient for plant growth, development and reproduction. Nitrogen is responsible for abundant, leafy growth within plants. Nitrogen is generally applied at higher concentrations throughout the early stages of growth.  Excessive amounts of nitrogen will promote vegetative growth at the expense of fruit or flower production.  Sources of Nitrogen include Bat and Seabird Guano, Blood Meal, Fish Meal, Feather Meal, and Cottonseed Meal for acid loving plants.
